If I’m honest, I’ve always admired Hokusai’s woodblock prints.

Hokusai seems to have been dealing with waves for thirty years of his life. The reason for me is simple: it is an extraordinary expressionism. What more than a wave tells us about the agitation, the stormy human condition, the beauty and strength of nature and the strength of otherworldly things.

Matter and spirit are concentrated in a wave.

This is my tribute to Hokusai. I hope I have been as faithful as possible to one of the most important iconographies ever.
